Last call for Tauck’s 2020 Oberammergau journeys

TORONTO — For anyone interested in experiencing the once-every-decade spectacle of Oberammergau’s Passion Play, Tauck has issued a “last call” for its final land tour in 2020 with available space.

In total, the company is offering three land tours and three river cruise itineraries to Oberammergau in 2020; of these six journeys, only ‘Swiss Highlands Bavarian Alps’ land tour is still available.

Tauck CEO Dan Mahar states, “The interest we’ve seen in our Oberammergau journeys have been phenomenal, and we feel it’s important to let everyone know that we’re down to just a single tour itinerary that includes the Passion Play.”

It should also be noted this opportunity will not return until 2030, so “anyone who’s been contemplating seeing the Passion Play with Tauck should make their decision soon.”

A new experience in 2020, the eight-day “Swiss Highlands Bavarian Alps” itinerary begins in Bern, Switzerland with a two-night hotel stay that includes city sightseeing, an interactive cheese-making tour and tasting dinner in Emmental. A Tauck-exclusive lunch inside a medieval Habsburg castle, a guided tour and tasting at a Swiss chocolate factory are also included.

Other highlights include a stay in the historic Swiss town St. Gallen, a visit and demonstration at a local textile museum, and of course the Passion Play with best available Category 1 seating. The final two nights
