. The tradition of decorating the house here arose spontaneously.

Oberammergau – a small Alpine village attracted us with its fabulous painted facades. Only a few narrow streets, but every house like a work of art.

All murals are drawn very high quality, worked out shadows and contours. It seems like the house really decorated columns, shutters and other decorative elements. Basically this traditional Bavarian ornaments, scenes from fairy tales or religious motives.

This unusual technique was first invented by local artist Franz Zwink. As advertising himself, he adorned the walls of his house such unusual frescoes well, and then orders him fell one after the other.
