High-wire troupe thrills in Garmisch

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany – About 400 military, family members, staff, participants and guests of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria – Garmisch Community and Edelweiss Lodge and Resort witnessed the Germany-based, Geschwister Weisheit high-wire troupe July 6 at the Armed Forces Recreation Center’s ELR here.

The free show was brought to the Garmisch community by Armed Forces Entertainment.

Founded in 1900 by Friedrich Wilhelm Weisheit, the troupe features three generations of aerial artists, who in addition to performing classical high wire artistry, incorporate sway poles, ropes, motorbikes and formula racing cars into their repertoire.
